Right forumsters me and Mr M were having a discussion about Greek food and we were discussing favourites when we visit the island (now Mr M isn't keen on trying anything "new" but is partial to stifado) but absolutely can't stand feta in any disguise (saganaki is a personal favourite of mine as well as the feta cheese pasties with spinach) which Mr M always turns his nose up at!!!
So is there any Greek dish/speciality that you don't particularly like or that you have tried but would not be in a hurry to eat more often and what are your favourite dishes...
Your thoughts please

Dolmades although the top taverna at Ermones does them warm with a tomato sauce which is not bad.
I have a Cypriot friend who makes them with rice and chicken and they are very pleasant but the majority of Greek ones are not high on my "must eat" list.

The only thing I was a bit apprehensive of eating was a sheep's eye ball at Easter time 2006..and I never took my eyes off the guy that gave it to me..because he was eating the other one..I thought he may be winding me up.
It didn't taste to bad but I don't think I could handle a plate of them.

Isn't that the traditional soup for Easter eaten at midnight on sad Friday. I tried it once and found it very tasty albeit a bit frothy.
Not too sure if I could do the sheeps eyes. Never had the opportunity and I do pride myself on eating pretty much anything. I'll certainly give things a go but I think I might "swerve" where sheeps eyes are concerned.
My wife is not a cocaretsi (sp) lover and when in some of the more earthy grill rooms she will only eat salad and chips.
