You dont need to worry about them melting.
Scientists are currently trying to find economic ways of harvesting it as a cheap source of energy so that will be another man-made disaster to look forward to!!!
There was a program on the Discovery channel about it last month.

Well here in the south we have very very windy weather and storm clouds brewing so looks like another night of bad storms

Has anybody been to Marathia? I wondered if the white house which is gradually getting nearer to the cliff edge has fallen?

This week I received an email from a very good friend in
Corfu telling us the good news---that our house appears to not have suffered any storm damage!
The very tall chimney is still standing and looks as if it's not suffered any mishaps.
Our good Samaritan offered her services without being asked.
We were also informed that our Greek neighbours had been into our house and checked the interior.
All was well!
It is very comforting to know that there are folk in Corfu, in our absence, fighting our corner.

That is good news for you Maggy.

So pleased everything is OK.

You can now relax for Christmas.
