Following the mega storm last week, just to say I know there has been a lot of chat on here recently from owners who live outside of Corfu worrying about the state of their property there.
I am sure lots of them have people to check on their own property, as I do, but I will be in Corfu 22nd November to 3rd December in and around Loustri, Kalami, Gimari, Kentroma etc and up to Kassiopi and I am happy to go and have an external look if anyone is worried about their property and report back.

Thank you Spears travel for you kind offer, I think Karousades is quite a bit out of your way, our house is going to be checked externally sometime this week by a good Samaritan who lives in Corfu...
Thank goodness for 'Good will to all men'(and ladies) at this time of year.
Have a lovely time!

What a kind offer. We luckily have had someone take a look at our place and reported back all OK.
There are two properties in Loustri with new rooves, one at the top of the hill and one near the church. Presumably you refer to one of those? I hope all is well with yours as we had heard elsewhere of the damage to Loustri.
Have a good trip - full of envy!

Barrow Boy - Many thanks. Ours is the one at the top of the hill in Loustri coming up from Kalami. One of these days I will put some photos in my gallery!
It is our 30th Wedding Anniversary when we are there and although we had grand plans to do a long-haul trip to the sun and some culture in India we decided our money was better spent on a bathroom in Loustri as we have no plumbing there!
The Russians, to whom we sold our Villa Cicada in Kalami in 2009, have kindly said we can stay there so we will at least have a fire and some central heating as our house in Loustri will not be habitable, even part of it, for ages!
However, to make this trip a bit different, we are flying to Athens from Manchester on Sunday, driving down to Preveza for a night at The Captains House and then when we drive back to Athens we are having 2 nights there. Looking forward to it and if it rains the whole time, so what!
