Hi everyone,
My husband and son are moving to Corfu in January. Whilst I am staying in England to keep earning a regular wage (boo hoo) while my husband sets up our business in Greece. The problem we have is our son is 5 and we will need someone to take and collect him from nursery and then look after him in the afternoon. Obviously we will want references ect. I think it would be till the end of July when I plan to come over (hooray). Can anyone advise us how much we should pay I was thinking an hourly rate as they would need to be flexible. We could house them if necessary as we have the top floor as a separate flat. Any help please!!

Can I just say I don't want to leave either my husband or my son but it won't be for long and it seems daft to give up a good job before we know how well the business will do...thought I'd better post this as seen comments about re-housing dogs lol

I'm not really up to speed with child minders, but in my day our local authority /council had a list of local vetted child minders, usually stay at home mums with children under school age of their own---hence extra income, hope this helps.

I dont know if you use facebook but there is a page there called CLN and there is someone advertising that they are a registered childminder

I always advertised in The Lady BUT I am sure you will find plenty of young girls already in Corfu looking for this type of job, so just spread the word.
