Does anyone know where buying a prefabricated swimming pool to install in Corfu? I would like to know if someone has one such pool; what do you think about it? Is it easy for the transport?
Thanks for your help

I asked about this a few years ago and received no informative replies. I think people are extremely wary now about building any kind of swimming pool because of the potential tax costs. If anyone can throw any light on the situation, it would be much appreciated. I had a large Intex above-ground pool which has proved to be too much of a hassle to keep going. The filter packed up and to replace it is both too expensive and too time-consuming. I now just drive ten minutes to either Ag. Gordis or Benitses for a swim or use the hosepipe if I get too hot! I would love to have a small pool into which I could flop first thing in the morning, but it just doesn't seem to be feasible.

I think they have now closed, but there are a couple of guys who do it and have an office on the road going down to the airport, opposite where the nuns live?
If anyone wants their number I will dig it out.
If you check with the accountant what the situation is regarding pools, but so long as it is under a certain size, you are safe.
They certainly work out a heck of a lot cheaper. Best thing is to go and have a look at something they have done.

There is a company near to Gouvia, that builds above ground pools. They make them very nice looking with wooden deck around. We are planning to have one ourselves for next summer. Please contact me for more information.
