What a wonderful place Kalami bar is now the owners are really lovely people and of course Billys twin brother Vergil we had some wonderful times, a great pleasure and sheer joy.
Did you all know they do breakfeasts there, I think the best in the villege if you like that on holiday, freshly cooked with eggs that have golden yellow yokes, lovely bacon,s ausages and big slice of grilled tomato you know those great big ones that must weight quarter of a pound each the ones that are not eec friendly and have got great flavour.
They open about 10.30 and a few times we would pop in about 11 am and have a breakie while watching the various birds in the lemon/orange grove and the breakie would last us all day until dinner in the evening. Then we would pop down to the Kalami bar about 7.30 pm Mary would have one or two of there lovely cocktails and I would have a draft Mythos realy cold served in a frosted glass out of the fridge a full pint, man that was smooth and went down well, the best in the villege, than after we had dinner at either the beach taverna, Thomas,s, the White House or Nicholas we pop back in for a night cap, I would have a few metaxas, with just one ice cube, Mary would have a cocktail or a few kumquats with crushed iced and enjoy the lovely evening.

Yes it was home from home happy times, but as I said in another thread that now both of us are redundant I very much dought we will ever be back, but we relise that they are people worst off than us, as now my dear, dear father in law is terminly ill, it can be a cruel world at times, but we must all be brave and remember the happy times.

Sorry Im a little out of tilt on this one.
Two TVS loud 80/90 compelation albums at serious volume.
Not quite my cuppa tea.
Im a 60s man in every way!!!
However the bar is great, for those with those tastes.
Great people who run it, and of course we do support it Probably a little earlier than the Young Ones.
Im a big believer in each to their own. If you like it do it. If you dont like move on.
I cerianly aint knocking the Kalami Bar.
I think you should give it a go.
Woodie
