Hi there. I am on yet another diet and need to buy Quark and fromage frais- I have looked at the main supermarkets in Sidari but just can't find any. Does anyone know where they definately sell one or both of these items?

Best diet is eat slower and cut the food on the plate in half; nevermind all these dodgy diets.

I thought that Quark was an alien in Star Trek.

Slimming world perchance Jaybird

If the quark and fromage frais are for the recipes, you will need the fat free (or very low fat) which may make them even harder to source. Fat free natural yoghurt works in most recipes...

Been in that position myself and never found either on Corfu - found fromage frais, but not very low fat.

Can you swap the from frais for 0% Greek yogurt - would work just as well. Also, if you blend very low fat cottage cheese it's very quark like - but then may not be able to find that either.

Good luck - I myself will be giving up all diets for the duration of my hols but plan to run every morning to work it off!

Liz I was thinking it would be the Dukan diet (new diet to hit Britain) very popular with the girls at work..

Thanks for all the info.

Yes it is the Dukan diet - someone here was on it (but the book was in Greek grrr) so Julesx2 kindly brought the book over for me. It does look a good diet and apart from the first 5 days which is pure protein you can eat fairly sensibly... next week it will even allow me to go out for dinner with Julesx2 and Jimjim!!! Though no Mythos

.. and Graham you think like me ... I keep thinking Star Trek when I read Quark haha

Liz as Jess states its pure protein for the attack phase, lean meat, eggs, fat free dairy products and at least a litre and a half of water, then introduce veg at the cruise phase.
