Last time I visit Greece, we gave them 12 and what did they give us...zilch. First time I've watched for many years, same old farce, nothing changed, nearly everyone voting for neighboring country. Big surprise though was Greece voting for Cyprus and they for Greece. Thought they might have given Turkey a shot this time. Perhaps shot wasn't the right word. Actually not a bad spectacle with the sound turned off.

You could be right, Tully I was very disappointed that OPA! didn't win. Plus "Apricot Stone" (Armenia) was an absolute Eurovision classic - how I laughed when the "tree" appeared from the "stone."
UK's effort was limp, weak and old-fashioned...
Germany's girl was like a teutonic Lily Allen. When she said (on winning): "Oh my god, this is so totally ossum." I nearly threw something at the telly.
Eurovision, I love it!!

I thought the winning song, Satellite, sounded very, very similar to another song I heard not long ago - but of course I cannot remember the name of it! Did anyone else think it sounded familiar?
