Yesterday we went past a Thomas Cook shop window, when I said to my boyfriend "WOW, look at that rate! "my eyes almost popped out of my head!, 1.12! No way I thought. However we went inside and asked, how many €'s for £100.00, the assistant said, €110.00 maybe a little less, I turned to my fella and said, that's not right? He said, "but it say's €1.12 - £1.00,yes she said that's if your buying £500.00's or more. Thanks we said and walked away.

What a bloomin cheek!! Go to fair FX today's rate 1.12, so Thomas Cook I've upped my standards, so up yours!

Please not maent for readers, just thought I could make light on a shody exchange rate.

Hi Frilly, I always buy online with the Fair fx card, but it maybe worth while to see what the elections bring. The card is really easy the order, no charge for it either if you top up €10.00 or more, it acts like a debit card with no overdraft facility, so you can't draw out more then you have in the account, it gives a much better rate than all the high street exchanges, you have a four digit pin number too, you can use it in shops and restaurants, and use it to draw your cash out of banks and ATM's, the site is 'fair fx.com', hope this helps you?

I think every penny counts especially if you gain €23's in every £200.00,s....

1.49??!!!!!!!Have you missed a 1 out somewhere? If you go in the peak season you can buy at 1.165 or if later in the year 1.1766 from various companies as long as you pay now.

€1.49 to £1? I think you've dropped a digit... 1.149 would be more like it. If you look on xe.com you can see live interbank rates. It's currently €1.15239 to £1

Yes I think a mistake has been made, I have scoured everywhere and the best I could get for £3000 of euros was 1.13.
