jrk - I was merely responding to comments that you had made. If you didn't actually mean quite what you said then perhaps you should give a little more thought to what you are writing before you press 'post'.
windmill - I don't always agree with your comments, but in this instance I'm entirely at one with what you're saying!!
angela - I agree with your comments completely.
Just recently there seem to have been a plethora of contentious and irrelevant posts that have upset quite a few people, myself amongst them. I think the time has come for me to wave cheerio to the forum, for a while at least, and instead spend some time enjoying the reality of living on Corfu. Bye for now.

Jrk do you realise that many people on this site are trying to realise their dream and some have had their dreams shattered with the recession and the problems that come with it such as redundancies etc. We have recently had to pay an out of season price of £750 for a flight and are now looking for a cheap summer flight to sort out problems with our house in Corfu. We have had to tighten our budget even more to try and make this work, for you to come out with ridiculous comments like you are doing when people are struggling is totally insensitive.

Like Bill, I too have recently been quite upset by certain very forceful comments made and decided that I no longer wished to read what I considered to be unkind and uncalled for posts. However, I have to admit that this whole forum is very addictive and, as I am obviously very weak-willed, have found myself returning.
Please don't go Bill. I, personally, love reading your posts. I would much rather some other people went rather than you! But, like Bill, I think I shall finally take my leave and enjoy the summer. At least my blood pressure will stabilise. Some of the remarks made in the last few weeks just beggar belief.

There is a simple answer to people like jrk who support and opinionise about green matters - take your buckets and spades and spend your holidays in Southport or anywhere close to home in the UK which involves the least amount of travel possible. Let the rest of us who love travel, and travel to the beautiful island of Corfu especially, make our own minds up as to what we pay and where we go. There is a saying which epitomises this and is supported by an MP no less - get on your bike.
