Whenever I try to upload photos on to my gallery, I get the message that they are too big, ie more than 1 mb. Can I make them smaller? I would be grateful for any help
thanks, Pam

Yes you can make them smaller lilys gran. You should have some software on your computer to alter images. I use Adobe Photoshop.
You need to open your image editing software click file then click open and locate your picture, once you have your picture on the screen in the software, click on image or edit image or resize if you set this to 640x480 click OK then click file again and click save as that should do it.
Hope this makes sense

Thanks Tony, that sounds straight forward enough even for me. I have configure picasa which should do the job. I will have a go tomorrow so watch my gallery for pics of South America and the Falklands. Thanks again for your prompt reply

It also helps if the programme you use has a 'save for the web' facility (Photoshop and some others do) as it 'compresses' the image (reduces the file size which can affect the quality, but doesn't matter too much on a computer monitor but still have them at 1024 X 768
