We'll be flying Easyjet for the first time this year and I'm a wee bit confused regarding the additional passport information...
I have entered all of our details as requested by Easyjet but when I go in to My Easyjet there is a little triangle with an ! telling me I need to enter the additional passport info???
Any help would be appreciated, thanks
;o)

Hi,
Get your passports out, look at the questions asked,
Passport number, start and expiry dates, place/county it was registered etc. Key in the information requested (all parts).
The passport information you provide must correspond with the information held when you check in, if not Easyjet will not let you fly.

I've done all that as requested but when I go into my booking on Easyjet there is a warning traingle saying that I need to input my details - which I have.
Confusing!

I've just checked my booking in "My easyJet" and get exactly the same comment regarding the need for additional information, despite the fact that when I click on the button the info is already all there (put in when I made the booking weeks ago). At a guess this is a standard section of the web page that remains constant. However, it does say at the bottom of the link
"Any information you have entered will automatically be saved when you click 'Save and Return to Your Booking' below. Please remember that failure to complete this information accurately will result in you not being allowed to take your flight."
So I have clicked on the Save and Return bit again to be on the safe side!

I've just phoned easyJet and the lovely, very helpful lady confirmed that all my necessary booking information is held with them - she too says it is [probably] just standard reminder information. If the info is showing when you click on the 'add info' button ej have got it
On a separate note, I also wanted to book additional hold luggage for the return leg of my journey only. Trying to do this online required me to book it for both directions. I thought I'd share the advice I was given... There are 2 options to get around this - either simply turn up on the return leg with the extra luggage, although this will be costly. Or, contact them (phone or online) after completing the outward leg of your journey, so you only have the one remaining trip to take, and book the additional luggage in then - a much cheaper option.

This is happening to me too Julie & Nairn & we fly out to Corfu tomorrow!!
I thought I'd check all of my details & I'm getting the same message. I too have 'saved & returned' just to be on the safe side & I've also printed the page to take with me tomorrow. I would email Easyjet, but I doubt if I would get a reply before tomorrow morning.
I did receive an email from easyjet on Friday - a holiday checklist & the box is ticked for supplying APIS, so I'll print this as well.
As you say, it is worrying though.

I totally agree! I will confess that I only renewed my Passport this week so could not input the new Number before then. The same as everyone else I'm still getting the 'Warning' Sign.
However the one thing we do know is that effective communication is not one of easyJet's strengths so we will probably be back home before they catch up!
Thanks for the tip about printing the page off. I'm travelling tomorrow but my printer has packed up so I will have to go to the library in the morning as I need my Boarding Pass as well!!

I too have been worrying about this, this week, as we fly on Monday 5th. I queried it on their Twitter website
and they said "It's just a reminder to add API, if you added the details, you're set to fly."

You were cutting it fine David! So are you going to check in on-line? What is the advantage of doing this if you have bags to go into the hold?
May bump into you tommorrow at the airport. I'll look out for you.

easyJet claim - and so it appears do Bristol Airport on it's Website - that it is 'quicker' and more convenient to do so. The hold luggage can be dropped-off at the "bag drop desk" and the claim is that a printed online confirmation speeds things up at the security check.
It's my first time with easyJet and Bristol Airport so I will try it and see if it does indeed enhance my travel experience! If you do it the 'traditional' way we can compare notes later!
Our flight is on the departures board so it's looking good for us today Sara

Why is easyJet asking for this information? Greece does not require it...few countries do, Spain for example. Just flew to Athens with BA, they did not ask for it.

I think it's to speed things up at the check-in points - no long queues.
Looking good David. Sunny & 19 degrees on the arillas.com website...long may it continue :)

Picked this up on the Crete board but thought a new posting wouldn't go amiss.
Flights to Corfu this year will require you to give Advanced Passenger Information BEFORE you travel.
We are flying with Thomas Cook and I admit I had missed the relevance of the comment on the booking confirmation email about Reconfirming Flights.
Anyway you now have to give passport details (number, expiry date, date of birth etc) ... quote "Tour Operators and Airlines are required to collect and transmit additional information about passengers prior to the departure of flights to comply with Border Control laws and security requirements. Passengers who have not completed Advanced Passenger Information prior to travel may be denied boarding, experience delayed processing or be denied admission to the port of entry at the destination."
Sorry if you all knew this but I am sure that someone would have been caught out. So remember to check your booking emails and papers ! Just did ours online.
We are flying with Thomas Cook and although I have been unable to find any mention of API on our paperwork I have submitted our details on line, just to be on the safe side. It doesn't take more than a couple of minutes and could save problems at the airport!!

Hi folks. When I tried to submit our party details on the special Thomson website re our flight to the Pelopenese in June it repeatedly rejected my booking reference so that I couldn't put in my details. I telephoned the company and was told that these new regulations only apply to bookings made after 1st November 2009. I booked in September, so for this holiday am exempt, but will have to submit the details for any future bookings. Just thought there might be other people in this position who don't know the start date. Yammas Polly

Annie 16, if you mean David 1, I don't think he's back until the weekend, he might come on line from Corfu, hopefully he will be able to let us know then, as I too am interested on how easy it was.

Thanks, Maggy. I've just checked in online with hold luggage. I noticed that they've changed the boarding groups - everyone is now group 2 unless you've booked Speedy Boarding or need special assistance.

David1,
I was just wondering if the online check in with hold luggage made any difference?
Does it mean that you don't have to queue up with the hoards at the Easyjet check-in?
I'm interested to know as I've only ever done on-line check when I've only had hand luggage.
Anything to avoid queues would be a nice little bonus in my opinion :)

We did not have any problems at Manchester on 2nd April.
Printed off our boarding passes at home and used the baggage drop off desk. Fast and efficient and avoiding the very long queue of people who had not printed off their boarding passes.
Corfu did not have a drop off point so had to join the queue to check in.
We liked our first easyjet experience and would use them again. The plane was an airbus and new.
Didn't take speedy boarding and we all still managed to sit together - the outbound flight was full.

I've just printed our boarding passes off for departure from Manchester, I am unable to fathom out if a boarding pass can be printed out from Corfu to Manchester, or does that facility not exist?
Also, although I have filled in the required passport details, when I go into my booking it is saying this information is required
Any calming input is welcomed

I think my boarding pass problem is solved, the reason I have only been allowed to print off my outbound flight from Manchester and panicking about the passes from Corfu is----
I can only do it 60 days before, as we have six days before we go, and there for 56 days, total 64 days,I'm assuming I'm trying too soon.

Maggy you are certainly on the ball. As Alison (DCV) says they and others I met on Corfu found the whole easyJet experience very good.
Regretably I never got a chance to use the system because I travelled out on the day that easyJet's whole National computer system crashed. Everything had to be done manually!!
I still think the most disconcerting thing is this unfortunate business of seemingly still asking for your Additional Information even when you've submitted it. Even to the point that when I was due to return I checked my flight only for the page to be asking for the info even though I had flown out with them!!

Big thanks for these postings - I had completely forgotten that I had to print off boarding pass for the return journey from Corfu to Manchester next month. Could have been an expensive mistake! Yet another senior moment por moi!

Can anyone help please. We booked with jet2 last November for June. We have to print boarding cards off 28days before we go or after that.
But the question is. I have gone into manage my booking to put airport passenger information in but there is nowhere for me to input these details.
Does anyone know if these options become available after you print your boarding cards.
Many thanks in advance sue.

From March 2009, Jet2.com is legally required to provide the UK Home Office with passport data for all passengers departing from and arriving into the UK. You are therefore required to provide Jet2.com with accurate passport data. You may provide this data anytime between the time of your booking and 5 hours before departure. You can provide this data under the Manage My Booking section of the website, through our call centre or this can be taken from you at check-in.

Hi nigel thanks for your answer but that is on our booking plus on there web site. But when I put my booking reference number and name in it brings all booking details but there is nowhere to go to put any details at all in or a link to go into it.
I will ring them in a few weeks when all them poor passengers have sorted there flights and delays out.
I want to keep the phone line clear for them that need it.
Its not a really big problem but why didnt they ask for details when booked last October?
Only found out from a friend that they want this information.
Many thanks again sue

You have to input the passport information before you can choose your seats and print the boarding cards.
I had to do it for my daughter last week (but the flights were cancelled because of the volcanic ash)
It's in the 'manage my booking' section when you log in using your booking reference - there are 2 options with underlined links - sorry can't be more specific as I don't have the details now

Hi maggy it says we can give airport passenger information from time of booking, I know the boarding cards cant be printed from 28 days before up to 5hours before we go.
Its so frustrating. I just want to do something straight forward (WELL SHOULD BE) I will have another go and see if I can find them two links mentioned above, but I have looked and looked.
Thanks to all sue
