I am planning on coming to Corfu this year for my holiday and wondered if anyone knows of where I can go on a fishing day, or if there is such a thing for tourists (although my father is from Corfu)
So do let me know, and when is the best time to do so...
thanks

Thomas who runs the Taverna in Kalami of the same name takes tourists out for fishing trips in his Caique .
The trip is over an evening and the next morning . The evening trip involves laying out the nets and the next morning gathering them in and sifting the catch .
Look at his website www.thomasplace.gr for more info

Don't forget that you need a licence to fish from a boat.

And if you want to film it you will need permission from everyone who could be caught on camera and signed releases to use the footage.
Local tourist/travel offices in resorts will have details of any trips available. For your intended purpose it may be easier to arrange a charter. Would probably cost more but involve fewer permissions/releases.

Like Ellimay has said you need a fishing Licence to fish from a boat, and to get one EU citizens need two photographs, a Greek Tax Number (AFM) and a photocopy of their passport. Non EU foreigners are not eligible to apply for a fishing licence.

Actually, the Greek system for fishing is different from anywhere else in Europe. If you're more than 300m from the shore, you need a licence. To get a licence, you need a tax number. So, if you're a tourist, you're out of luck. I put this document together last year - hopefully I'll get an opportunity to update it this year (and, of course, I'd love to hear of any information to add to it from anyone!):
