Hi Jen,

There are no nightclubs in Dassia as such. There are lots of bars though that play music till late.

Ipsos (a 15 minute walk) is the liveliest resort near Dassia. The nightclubs are on the main strip of Ipsos. Sam, the moderator for this forum, will be able to give you some names of the decent clubs there. There is also a blue bus which comes through Dassia that can take you to Ipsos which stop running at 10pm. You can also get a taxi from Dassia but make sure you agree a price before you get in as they may try and over charge.

Take a look at the resort guide links for both of these resorts below for more info.

Hope it helps and have a great time.

Kev

Hi Kev,

Sorry, the blue bus will not take you to Ipsos. The blue bus (no 7) runs between Corfu Town and Dassia. The final stop and turning point in Dassia is the Elea Hotel.

If you want to go to Ipsos by bus you have to take the green bus either to Ipsos or Kassiopi.

Jan

Hi Jan,

Is this a new thng? 2 years ago (2003) we caught the bus from Corfu Town and it took us right up to the end of the road nearly into Ipsos. It was just under a 5 minute walk from where we got off.

Thanks, Kev

I think you will find Jan is right Kev. On the many times we have travelled up to Ipsos from Kontokali on the No7 (the only blue bus on that route) we have had to terminate the journey at Dassia, and then get on a Green Bus. Alternatively we have taken the Green bus from Kontokali opposite the supermarket to Ipsos.

I dont know if this is a new thing, but this was happening in 2002, 03, 04.

Incidently, a quote from a Greek tourist site states the following:

http://www.greeka.com/ionian/corfu/corfu-villages.htm

http://www.corfu-greece.biz/corfu-villages.htm

Over the past years, the village of Dassia has become a highly cosmopolitan resort which offers a wooded bay and a beach of pebble and sand. Accommodation, restaurants, cafes, bars and night clubs can easily be found in Dassia.

This I think is the EDAM CLUB, DASSIA.

Cheers.

Hiya Kev, thanks for giving me all the info about the night clubs in Ipsos and thanks Jan. What else is there to do in Corfu near Dassia because im not really looking forward to going at the moment as the resort looks pretty quiet and dull. Ive been to Crete, Rhodes and Zakynthos and had an amazing time, i just hope Corfu will be the same. What do u think? Jen xx

Hi Jen,

As the above post say Ipsos is very near to Dassia and is usually buzzing of a night.  There are quite a few nightclubs, bars etc.  To name a few, Dirty Nellies, Temple Bar, B52s, Hectors.  Some of them don't open until about 10 p.m. and go on until the early hours with foam parties etc.

If you look on  JustCorfu.co.uk it will give you all the infor you need.  I am sure you will have a great time.

Hi Jen,

Dassia is quite a nice resort and youu should have a great time. Buses are easily accessible to COrfu Town and they run all over the island from there. Check the times though at the link above. There are lots of watersports availible on the jettys along the beach with a few bars on the beach front a bit further along.

You will have a great time.

Kev
