P.A.W.S. seem to have run out of funding for the winter food for stray cats of the villages in Paxos. Thus, my partner and I have taken on the responsibility of feeding the cats of Loggos out of our pockets. We will be extremely grateful to receive any donations in the form of food. So, If you are on holiday in Loggos this year and would like to to help us, please can buy cat biscuits or tinned from any of the local supermarkets and drop it off at Chris and Christine's office. (Travel a la Carte) They have kindly said that they will act as a collection point for us. The office is situated on the car park in Loggos village. Thank you!

Animal welfare is very close to my heart and always has been so. A local family had three black and white cats, all sisters. Sorry to say one of the sisters had a serious kidney complaint and in the end the family and the vet had a decision that had to be made.

My grandson was devastated at the news. This one cat always remained aloof from the others and you could never make a fuss of her. Towards the end, she always came to us for affection. As I told my grandson, you can never make friends with a cat, they make friends with you. Those few last short weeks will remain in our memories for ever.

To me and my family, the Greek cat has a special shape, colouring and temperament. I have not found this elsewhere during my visits round the Med.

Also please let me remind you that there are also people on other Greek islands who require assistance to feed strays outside the holiday season.

Yammas, Colin.

I just want to say a big thank you to all involved on behalf of those of us whose visits to Loggos wouldn't be the same without the catty goings on from some of the wonderful characters that we've come to recognise and love during our holidays there.

If anyone wants a reminder of their favourites, you can't do better than to read this old but still hilarious postthat PhilMenai wrote some time ago.

I hope nobody will mind if I occasionally bring this post back up to the top of the list throughout the season so that it will jog people's memories before they go on holiday.

Yes, Matty&Sara gave us the sad news in January and a suitable period of mourning was observed. Loggos won't be the same without him
