I use the Greek spray OFF because it dries quickly and is not oily and most of all it works. Don't think you can buy it in the UK though.

My Mate Marmite on you Toast some weeks before you go. Take some with you .for youe breakfast on the balcony. When they land on it there feet get stuck, cant fly off, there, stuck for the Duration. Change the toast each day of course.
I rather fancy the Coal Tar Soap, not only for the mozzy relief,I assume you get a Wide berth in the Tavern and lots of room.
I used to when I washed down with Viniger just before we went out. Or maybe it was just me.

Vitamin B1 tablets, Original Source Lemon & Tea Tree Shower Gel & of course the old DEET....pack your clother & layer sheets of bounce between them, they'll smell great & the mozzies hate it!!! None fo us got bit once this year...

Going to try Avon skin so soft next May as its got loads of excellent write ups.
Managed to get 6 bottles off ebay for £14.
I like the Bounce idea as well ,definately worth a try .
Going to Barcelona on Monday for a couple of days but dont expect to get bothered there as its been a bit cool the last couple of weeks.

Might be a daft question ,but which months of the year are mosquito's around and when living higher up the mountains are you more likely to see them less

I used the mossie patches at the end of October (I bought them through eBay). I got through a whole week without a single bite. Then when we were waiting for the last Easyjet flight home on 2nd November I noticed a bite on my leg. By the time we got home another seven bites had come up!!! I'm going to have to try something else next year. They seem to love me!

Annie...most people when arriving & when leaving forget about the airport, we always pack some mozzie wipes in our hand luggage so as soon as we arrive at the airport waiing for our bags & when we are leaving don't get caught out. (no bites in 2007/2008)

The weirdest ant-mozzi remedy I've heard of is strips of Bounce (the washing machine stuff)layed on the table or attached to a handbag or belt. According to an earlier thread somewhere on the CTG Canadian Postmen have a special mesh pocket on their letter-bags purely to hold strips of Bounce. We're taking some to Parga next July so if they don't work at least our smalls will smell nice.
