I'm visiting Corfu for the first time in October with my family (School half term) and staying in Roda.

Can anyone advise things to do and see at this time of year with two young children.

I'm also looking for a good reliable car hire company.

Hi Gartland,

Here is the resort guide for Roda, which gives you some information about where to go and what to do etc.

Hi Gartland

From the crossroads at the top with the main road, about a hundred yards down towards the beach, on the left is a car hire company that seems to have the cheapest prices and most vehicles. The name escapes me, it is 'three letters travel', something like KTS travel. The shop is next door to a grillroom (name also forgotten) which if you are a carnivore sells the biggest and tastiest AND cheapest meals you will find, despite being run by Brits (nice people). Try their chicken or liver or anything really.

On the opposite side of road back up towards the crossroads and set back a little is another travel shop run by a very friendly lady who can advise on travel, excursions or just things to get to in your car.

How old are your children, it might help others to suggest things to do.

Have a great time anyway

Ian

Hi all

yes the hire car company is nsk its opposite the mistral bar (where they serve great kids cocktails)

sample prices for hire cars are group a is about 20 euros a day group b is 23 euros.

they also offer great deals on excusions (day and evening trips)

there are 2 local water parks in the area one just past acharavi to wards kassiopi the other is in sidari, the third is the main aqua land near corfu town

for children Roda is great it has plenty of safe clean pools the beach is sandy with a gentle sloping water line ive never actualy sean any jelly fish or razor shells so no need to worry about those. ive spent my holidays in roda every year since 1985 and would not go anywhere else.

if i can be of anymore help please contact me

yanis
