<FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#008000 size=5>monday afternooon 4 pmish 60 people on the site and guess what know no-one in the chat room...as usual.. nathan and the team probably went to alot of trouble to set it up....and Ive had a few conflicts with admin in the past ..some resolved ..but feel maybe some people are unaware of its excistance.. a few people meet in there during the day and night ..and we are all reasonably friendly and the main topic apart from alchohol ......... is corfu ....we all have an extensive knowledge of the island and ide like to see newer members and the people who are taking their first holiday there where we can assist with questions that they may not think is worth a post...............and another suggestion is maybe at least one member of admin could be in the room at given times so they can answer any queries that may arise ......................

As you know I like to go in the chat room, but when I first viewed this site I was new to the internet & had a very naive view of chat rooms I suppose, from what I had heard, & always telling my Children they should never go in them! I realised how 'safe' the one on here was, no bad languge can be used & it is moderated but maybe new members to the site may well be under the same impression of it as I was!

I USE THE CHAT ROOM SOMETIMES BUT DONT ALWAYS HAVE TIME TO GO IN EVERYDAY, EVEN IF IM LOGGED ON . I AM USUALLY ABOUT SOMEWHERE , AND AT WORK WELL IM AT WORK AND WERE DONT HAVE TIME TO GO ON THE NET . YOU MUST BE GETTING LONELY BRI LOL

Awwww Bri lots of us use the chatroom of an evening .... but you must be tucked up in bed with your horlicks tee hee.
Dogbones .... I am a real techno babe and I dont use chatrooms EXCEPT this one. All the people on there are lovely.... not met one who isnt genuinely a lovely person ... and I have met a lot of them personally when they have visited me at the hotel where I work on Corfu. So do try it out ... even if it is only to keep poor brian company

Like those above I can't type quickly even if it was to save my life. My teenage daughter takes over from me in frustration if I'm typing an e-mail in her presence and she is not a trained typist .
If you can do it then fine, but not for me.

...I am sure that if any new comer comes into the chat room...And you do say that you can not type fast..The chat persons in the room will home in on what you in what you say and will bear with you...Enlargeing the chat room screen will help you out no end with the icons below to help you do so.....We have a lovely bunch of regular chat room members and i am sure that they will help you in any way....The chat room IS POLICED all though i am not in there a lot i do see any newbies that enter the room....As chat room monitor we do not allow any swearing, sexist remarks or any racist remarks and also bad behaver while in the chat room....You will be band and reported to Admin if you do so...Terms and conditions apply as to when you sign on to become a member of the C.T.G...This is a safe chat room and free from harm lets keep it that way for young and older alike....Any problems just P.M me...Chris

In a perfect world Brian that would be a lovely idea but all admin members are volunteers and do this in our spare time we do have proper jobs too. It would be impossible to arrange a rota so that there is always one of us in there - I don't think our bosses would appreciate us saying - "hang on sir just got to moderate this chat room be with you in half an hour" LOL
Some of us try to get in now and again but mostly we have to trust you lovely lot to be good in there LOL
If there has been a problem guest just pm one of us and we will keep an eye open for them and hopefully sort it out

hey if i had one at work ide use it too...whats everyones problem when they get home Ime the first to admit that the usual "idiots " get in there but ime one that wants others to benefit from the chat room so many people are wondering where they will end up on the island and this is one way that we can all help people with there eventual destination....

I'm sure that Brian and maureen dont remeber this, but nearly three years ago now, I had never been to Greece, let alone Corfu, and I asked a few very basic questions in the holiday questions forum......they quickly spotted my naive questions and invited me into the chat room and proceeded to answer every tiny query and settled my mind on lots off stuff!
Brian and Maureen got me hooked on this site!

Thought I would resurect this post.
I'm sure there are many people who don't do chat rooms
but Nathan and the moderators have kept the chance to chat in this format.
Even if you don't use chat rooms and are not normally the kind of people who are wary of this kind of communication plaese use the room even just sit and watch the regular users jump in when you want and as long as you have java 6 you'll be able to communicate with CORFU lovers

Bruce...if you scroll down the main page...just above where it says 'Recent Forum Posts'....it says Chat Room ...just click on that and you should then get into the chat room. If it doesn't work, let one of us know ..

The screen will be grey for a few seconds,then the java t cup thingy will come up, that goes and then a blue line telling you it is loading appears.
Right hand top corner you are told you are entering the beach, type on the blue line at the bottom, line is about half an inch wide.

I keep looking for people to talk to...about Corfu...but I'm often left frustrated.

Just a thought admin but from this post weve discovered that people didnt no to download Java
I wonder how many other people had tried to log in the chat room and couldnt but didnt make the effort to find out why .
