Hi jim

It must be becasue its a gif file - I have 2 in my gallery and I just tried to make them my avatar and got the same message as you - its looking like only jpeg files as avatars at the moment

We did used to be able to use gif files as avatars but something has obviously gone wrong - I'm sure the boss will work on that for you at some point but he is really busy at the moment so have patience - thanks

Hello computer Buffs Don't know if it's just mine but when I log on and try to enter all forums/Message Boards it doesn't let me in or it takes ages, thought It might just be my rubbish computer at work on a go slow but I've tried at home on the computer and it's been the same.

Can anybody shed any light on this unexplained problem.

Have you tried do the usual things like clearing cookies and temporary internet files?  It is worth a try but if that doesn't work please let us know.

I've just logged in and out a couple of times and it's flying along for me, even with a download running at 200kbps at the same time.

What's it like when you try other web sites?  It could be your connection -  try going to www.dslreports.com (it's a busy site at this sort of time so don't worry if it's slow to load).  Then go to Tools and then Speed Tests.  It'll give you a good idea how fast your connection's running. Don't do anything else on the net while you're running the test or it won't give you a proper reading.

How come Thread headed THOMAS BAY HOTEL on Arillas, San Stefanos & Ag Georgios doesn't work?

I think the forum code needs a tweak. We will get on to it asap.  Thanks for pointing that out.

I've just tried reporting a message but just get the 'page cannot be displayed'

We have reported the problem with the report post button not working.  I am sure it is on Nathan's to do list.

I apologize that no one was around to deal with it sooner, thank you both (and Jimmy66) for your vigilence.  The thread hs now been removed.
