 I await with baited breath

Kev, can you give me a bit more info on the olive press mag, is it available to us in the UK? How much is it? It's not one of those mags that claims to be about a particular place but is just full of adds is it?

Steve

Steve

It's an exciting new mag with lots of information about Corfu and some good stories.  It is funded by advertising and is A5 in size, glossy and in colour.

It is actually free but I don't know how they would get it to the UK.  I am sure that someone out there can send a batch to the UK for distribution if there is enough interest.  I will contact the publishers direct and see if they are interested in someone here (UK) setting up a distribution network for us Corfu fans in the UK.

Once I have spoken to them I will start a thread to see if there is any interest.  It would only take a dozen or so people to express an interest to make it worthwhile.

Sounds like a good read. Put me down for a subscription Kev!

I could even buy a push bike to deliver them on LOL

Hi Kev,

This sounds very interesting, and I would be pleased subscribe to this magazine if and when available.

Thank you, and Kind Regards.

Okay - That's Great

The more useful information we can get here in the UK about Corfu the better.

I am in touch with the publishers and will start a new thread once I get word that they are interested in distributing this mag in the UK (which I know they will be).  I will be responsible for the UK distribution and will ask that postage costs from Corfu and in the UK are covered in the subscription.  If there are any additional funds then we could donate them to charity (of choice).

I'm off to make some phone calls and will update you all later.

Kev, you could donate the profits to care Corfu, I know you have supported it before and it is an animal charity too, something I would be interested in supporting

You beat me to it Steve. Having heard Kev mention Care Corfu before, and in relation to the animals, I am in full agreement that donations to this charity will be a good idea.

Look forward to the progress of this subject.

Best Wishes.

Steve/Chris

I am unable to get hold of the publishers right now but have a message that they will phone me tomorrow to organise it all.  I think your idea about donating "profits" to Care Corfu is great and I will email the charity to let them know about the latest venture.  Don't forget the website address www.carecorfu.com

This is an exciting development and I hope to report some more progress soon.

It will be nice to read a British speaking magazine from Corfu that does not resemble a property magazine for once.

Corfu

Count us in for a subscription too.  I'd like to get news, info etc from all points of view about Corfu.

Even if we can only get over a couple of times a year a year it's nice to feel if you somehow belong - a bit like being part of the "Agni family"

Jane
