Hi Husky....Welcome to the site. Don't stay in Sidari myself, but sure you'll get all the info you need shortly from those that do. Pop over to Kassiopi if you get the chance. It's lovely by the harbour watching the world go by.

Hi Husky, you dont say if you have children or not? There is a waterpark in sidari which you can quite easily walk to,it only has 3 slides but for the 6euro's you pay for the whole day is well worth the money, our kids love it. They also love going on the go karts 5euro's for 15mins,which is on the main sidari strip. We usually stay in the Canal d'amour end of sidari and love it there. There are loads of nice restaurants/bars all over. Everybody ive met have all been very friendly in sidari so im sure you'll have a great time like we do. Also try to find orchards restaurant which sounds really nice in the canal d'amour end,i will be trying it next time i visit as i never ventured much down the other end of sidari.

The Takis apartments are pretty close to town, its about a 5 10 min walk depending on your pace. But you are far enough out to avoid the noise but close enough not to have to hike home. From what i have seen the takis aparmtents are nice, its quite a small complex. but you may need to bring a torch with you as the road may be lit quite badly that you have to go up

Hi Husky welcome to the site.  You don't need to organise boat rental until your in Sidari, last year the big yellow boat company on the beach had some good deals (I think they might of sold the company to somebody else now though!!) There a different varieties of engine size and carrier capacity and they were very reasonable, My son and his friend hire a motor boat for the day and travelled down to roda and acharavi for the day, they anchored up and had a drink or two along the way and they said it was a great day, very relaxing.  Enjoy your trip  xxxxxx

Husky, sorry I didn't get straight back to you.

If you look on my photo gallery (click the above icon), and enlarge the map - you will see the exact location of the Takis apts.  They are a short walk into the main part of Sidari, or into the quieter Canal D'Amour if you like nicer beaches.

Have a lovely hoilday

I'm not surprised he shouted. Apart from the fact it is a bit discourteous when they are trying to make a living, especially if it is someone not stopping at the apartments where the pool is, but  as faras I understand it there are repercussions for them if tax inspectors catch them allowing people to do so. Because of the different rates of tax levied between them and supermarkets etc. they have to account for the drinks sold there. If they can't they are at risk of being closed whilst it is sorted out.  Maybe someone with more info will let us know to stop anyone doing so if it does cause problems (apart from the discourtesy thing I mentioned) and to stop people thinking it is a laughing matter.

I didnt say it was a laughing matter just wanted to warn them speaking from experince and yes it was wrong of my friend to do it, but it was only a small drink and it was our first day so we didnt know and he could have said it quietly and she would have got rid of it but he shouted at her, and we did stay at the apartments.
