Hi Sooz.

You are obviously using the airport internet service, hence where your posts came from. May I suggest when you get back that you are Active within your profile.

As someone else pointed out in another thread, clear down and delete all your temporary files, cookies, etc, and reboot and try again. This may help on your return.

Have a great holiday, speak when you get back.

Best Wishes.

Hi Sailor, thanks for your advice, but I have tried all of these.  I think the time has come to get an expert in to take a look at my home PC to try work out what the problem is.

However, it's great to be able to post messages direct from the Blue Bay Escape - see the thread on that for my 'on the spot' report.

Must go as using their internet service costs

Bye from a Corfu Fanatic at heart (if not in posts!)

Hi Sooz,

do you have a firewall at home? If so which one?

I recently had a problem with Norton Firewall 2002 until I upgraded to the 2004 version I suddenly could not access the message boards.

In the meantime enjoy your holiday.

Hi Sooz.

Before you go out and spend money on fixing your PC, try this. Can you remember when you were last able to post with no problems. If so, have you installed anything since then, if so uninstall it, and see if it works again, then reinstall, but maybe at a lower setting if it is like Ian said a firewall or some thing like that. Also check to see if a virus has got into your system, by installing an anti virus system if you have not got one already, and do a check on your system. If you can connect to a maintenance site, like if your with BT Yahoo, or some thing like that, and get them to help to see if they can find something. It maybe a simple thing, that could cost a lot of money if you get someone else to look at it.

Hope you get it fixed, and Best Wishes.

Hi Sooz,

I was having the same problem as you, and later found out it was the firewall preventing me from posting messages and answering private messages too, I have Zone Alarm, so when i access this site i just shut it down and when the internet is switched back on it comes back on again, Ian (Robin Hood) told me

Sooz

You say you are using XP Pro but it's not clear in your post if you've been able to post messages on previous occasions.  If you have, just do a system restore to a date prior to your last post.
