The first two weeks of September will be our our first visit to Corfu and Paleokatritsa, what can we expect? weather wise, will it be busy? Any suggestions for day trips?

Expect to fall in love!!! Paleo is so pretty-amazing views at every turn of the road, lovely tavernas, a choice of beaches/coves to swim from and great people. It will be mid 80s temperature although sometimes the heat builds up and there is a fabulous storm for half a day-had one every September I can remember-it is wild but blows over quickly and clears the air of any hunidity.
Paleo can be busy-ish during the day with visitors going to the monestry but all are gone by late afternoon. In May I found the resort quiet-economic situation and I hope it has picked up a bit for our Paleo friends' sake-although for visitors it is pleasantly quiet. If it is your first trip to Corfu you maybe want to do the Island tour or the boat over to Paxos. In Paleo you can hire a boat and go to remote beaches or walk up the olive groves to the village of Lakones above. Don't miss going into town-buses run from Paleo- I love Corfu Town!!!
I will be there 5th September for 3 weeks. If you see a blonde Scottish woman going about please say Hi. Where are you staying? Enjoy.

Joner55 if you want peace, quiet, good food and make friends for life then Paleo is the place. Maria Studios are right in the centre and easy reach of beaches and restuarants.
Paleogirl we may see you about? Staying for three weeks from the 5th as well! Can't stop coming watch out it's infectious!
