Steve

Sorry mate thought you were only going for 3 months.

Thanks Rosy

Do you think it would have made any difference if you said you may look for work? Proof of money, was this just a bank statement? Mother and fathers names, did you need any proof (your birth certificate) or just tell them?

As for health card, suppose if they didn't accept it then you could just get insurance for a couple of months maybe, as once you have the new registration certificate it never has to be renewed?

We got ours in 2004 (maybe 2003)and were asked to prove we had income and would not be asking for the state to support us. I think we showed bank statements, which to be honest, they only glanced at. We were not asked for any medical evidence or information as far as I remember.

We got ours in November 2006 and all we did was show them our passport, fill in a simple one page form and produce 4 photos. We did the non working one though so it may be differant if you want to work. There were no questions about how much money we had or medical insurance. It took us 1 week to get it.

Thats the one we were told to apply for Graham,as up to now no intention of moving for good, but having the permit entitles us to purchase a car or higher cc scooter for the weeks months we are there!Or do we forget about the permit?and buy a 50 cc scooter and hope it gets both of us up the hills?
