not sure if this has already been covered elsewhere but i thought that i would add the information that i was given last week regarding taking your Uk car with you to Corfu assuming you wish to keep it!

First you have to apply to the Greek embassy in London taking with you your passport, 3 Utility bills and 3 Council Tax bills ...they will fill in the paperwork which i was told costs around 25 Euros.

When you arrive in Corfu with the car you need to Retain your Ferry Ticket ! this is vitally important..you have 4 weeks in which to Register the car with Greek customs and they will need to see the Ferry ticket.

you will be required to pay a percentage of the car`s value at the time you Register it which is based on its Age and co2 emissions ....the Older the car, the more you pay.

You will be issued with a set of Greek number plates in White with Red numbers and letters.

Dave.

Wouldn't a car from the UK be designed to drive on the wrong side of the road in corfu?
