Can anyone advise me of a UK based travel insurance which can be taken out by someone who is already in Greece (who was on holiday and decided to stay on to work the season) All companies contacted say that you must be in the UK at the time of taking out the policy.

I would ring who you are already insured with and get it extended..can put try..Chris

I'm no expert but isn't the main criteria where your main residence is rather than where you are living at inception?

Insurance documents will be sent to your UK address which provided it's your main residence surely falls within the terms & conditions.
My advice would be to have a close look at the T&C's, available online maybe, at the exact wording.
