Yes! Cooking and Baking the Greek Way has the very same recipes you find in Cooking the Greek Way.
I've ordered both from Amazon this morning so if they turn out to be the same book I may have a spare to pass on to someone else. Incidentally they are not coming from Amazon's own stock but from other people/organisations selling via Amazon and 'Cooking & Baking the Greek Way' is coming from the USA so this might be the American edition you are looking for. There were still others available when I ordered mine.
Janmanessi - Thanks. The Tigania we had was a hearty pork stew/casserole with peppers, onions & mushrooms when we had it at Boulis in Lakones. We tried it at Kalami Beach Taverna also and there it was a lighter dish, more of a stir fry. I liked them both, my husband particularly enjoyed the Boulis version. I look forward to trying the karidopitta.

I have a book called ' Flavours of Greece' by Rosemary Barron. It not only gives loads of authentic recipes but very interesting information regarding the origins of them too.
It is also available on Amazon and the reviews are good too, here is the link Flavours of Greece

Lymmbo, I think I got the book in 1984. The cover was faded and the pages were yellowing--it had likely been waiting patiently on its stand in the sun for quite some time. Imagine how it looks now! I'd better follow the lead of the above posters, find another copy and retire it honourably.
Arkadia, welcome to the forum! What a perfect username. I look forward to discussing Greek food and culture with you. Wish I could give an opinion on one of the newer Greek cookbooks, but as I've built up quite a collection I try to resist the temptation to buy more. I certainly second Sooz' recommendation of James Chatto's Kitchen in Corfu.

Thank you for taking the trouble to help me find more Greek cookbooks. I must check out Amazon again! I am in Egypt, originally from Scotland, and I just love all things Greek. Are there any other forums similar to this as I am so disappointed that you will be closing?
