Hi Moony, yes tried the phone call the day before, did'nt work, they said to use the Cruise ship dock over the far side.WRONG.
Even the guy with the little brown dog who takes the lines did'nt know, when it actually arrived, he was waiting 2 ramps over.
As you said the scenery this year was indeed stunning, we've never seen the trees in such splendid colours, who needs North America or Canada for Autumn colours. As we got higher into the Alps even the clouds were putting on a show for us by laying whispers in and out of the folds in the mountains and over the lakes. Just breath taking.
Bob.

Hi Bob
Is that in the Spitfire.....we'll have to get our MG sorted and working flat out Easter seems a bit soon.....Easter next year, perhaps? The Wacky Races idea still makes me smile, even if it's only a pipedream.
Love to Wendy

Dont hold your breath Martyn, its not made it out of storage yet, but the garage is almost ready, I've sourced a trailer to bring it home, I've even been offered another car to act as a donor recently.
Tell you all about it Friday.
Would be a giggle though would'nt it? So thats 2011 then, I'll have to get my scates on, I'm planning a full body off re-build, but not to Con-Cours, too fiddly, I dont have that sort of patients or funds.
Bob.

Hi Bob and Martyn and all,
Looks like there are some changes a foot with the Minoan Ferries this year. Two brand new and larger boats on the Ancona route from June, Cruise Europa and Cruise Olympia. The older boats from the Ancona route Olympic and Europa Palace will serve the Venice to Corfu passage.
Was considering using the Ancona route to try out the new boat but wondered how much the Igoumanitsa ferry might cost? Well a ball park sort of figure?
Think the boat info's about right but if not perhaps you would correct! Thanks.
Tony

In october the Igoumenitsa ferry to Corfu cost us 64euro that was for 4 of us (2 adults 2 children)in our transit van.

Ps. That was just a one way ticket on the open ferry.

you get a discount on the return ferry to Igumenitsa if you keep your original ticket.

Hi Tony
I think that the last time we did the crossing (two adults, plus small car) it was about 22 Euros each way.

Martyn
