Hi Pru, I was curious about this one too, and did a bit of googling...found the book is also called, "Noble Houses of Corfu." But I did not run down a copy under that name, either.

This was a great topic to post. Now I have a heap of books to read before I get to Corfu on September 4!
As a matter of interest, bookdepository.com ships anywhere in the world for free and is a huge saving on Amazon. I think there's also a UK branch of it now. I have friends who use it a lot and are very happy with it.

For me no books about Corfu will ever take the place of Gerald Durrells's Corfu Trilogy (when did it get that title, I've always known them as three separate books?) First read at primary school age, My Family and Other Animals instilled a love in me for an island I had never seen and, in those days of the 60's when foreign holidays were only for the wealthy, doubted I ever would.
Imagine my delight, 20 years later, when a group of friends decided they would go on holiday to Greece...I begged for Corfu and got it! I was not disappointed.
For this year, I will be reading:
Greek Walls
Cat of Portovecchio
Songs of Blue and Gold
and re-reading Greek for Love
I would take my copy of Kitchen in Corfu but it's so old it's almost falling to pieces!

CC, thank you so much for mentioning The Book Depository. Had a quick glance, it looks very promising and I will check it out further.
BookCloseouts.com sells remaindered and scratch n'dent books at extremely low prices, also offering coupons for further savings. They do ship internationally; their shipping charges are very reasonable within North America and I will try to find out if that's the case for other countries as well.

I just ordered The Cat of PortoVecchio and look forward to reading it on the beach in Agios Gordios this summer.
