Mmm - best beach, pebbly every time -because normally it means clearer and more interesting sea life and better snorkelling. For me, the beaches that go out for miles and only get up to your knees are rubbish.
For me - pebbles, no kids, taverna behind,- heaven.

To each his or her own. I don't think there's one beach in Corfu let alone all of Greece that everyone would agree is "the" most beautiful. If you mean beauty in terms of scenery, Myrtiotissa, Paleocastritsa and Peroulades (in a more austere way) are strong contenders. I'm glad you asked though as at least one beach I'd not heard of was mentioned.

Hi
Glyfada beach for me, but be careful as the sand is deep and gets very hot.

Kefalonia's Myrtos beach is stunning, the view of it from the hill above is awesome and once your on it, well, its just breath taking.....

I agree with Glyfada, of course, but only during VERY low season . . .

The little beach next to The Cottage, Nissaki is my choice. It may be pebbly, it may be a little bit of a struggle to get in and out of the sea, but we saw more greek life, and sea life whilst we were here on holiday than ever before. Fishing boats with their nets out, dolphins, all sorts of fish and soooo peacefull. Six steps down from The Cottage, so no need to carry anything - you could pop back in minutes for a drink, shower, some lunch etc... Pop on your swimsuit and jellies, carry your snorkel and off you go - heaven. Doh! I shall never get any housework done today now as I will be too busy daydreaming...
