As said one mans meat etc. etc...... I find San Stef NW beach rather drab same as Roda and Sidari(sorry), not too bad but nowhere close to the top of a long list stretching all around the Island and all excellent for different reasons.
Said before but Arillas and San George NW, close to there Porto Timoni.
Pelekas, Glyfada, and others close, the West coast and the North East pebble coves.....
The Islands of Mathraki and Othoni off the NW coast have great and obviously quiet beaches.
I have to agree with ecotrails. I love Arillas beach in the North West & in the evening the sunsets are just breathtaking. Just a few kilometres away is the beach at Agios Georgios which comes a close second.

My favorite beach is a Taverna on the west coast, with sand under my feet, where I have a cool drink in my hand watching a FANTASTIC Corfoit sunset.

We love Agios Gordios beach especially when the sun goes down, sipping a cocktail or three.
However, friends took us by car to a wonderful beach just outside Kassiopi last summer. It's called Kalamaki beach. It's accessible by car but the bus also stops on the main road and then there's a steep slope down to the beach which has quite a large car park and a lovely taverna attached to it. You actually park on the sand. The sand is so soft and very flat. The crystal clear water was shallow for quite some way out, there was also a pier. It's a beach I would willingly go back to time and again.
The island has so many beautiful beaches and coves just waiting to be explored.

Must agree with Welshgirl - Kalamaki is the best beach we have found - with a couple of lovely tavernas right on the beach and the sea is so warm and clear, looking forward to taking our grandson there in June

As much as I love Corfu, it does not have the best beaches in Greece. The best group of beaches are in Skiathalos but possibly The single best beach in Greece is Voidakilia nr Gialova, Pylos on the Greek Peloponesos. Perfection. However, North Cornwall still has the best beaches in Europe.
