Hi folks,

I wonder if anyone could give me some info on purchasing a flatscreen TV in Corfu. I'd like something around 27-32 inches (wouldn't we all!) that can be attached to a wall. I've got a tiny little TV at the moment, and a Sky box thing that works, so I guess installing a new TV would just be a matter of swapping leads over, wouldn't it?

Any ideas on where and how much?

Thanks for any help

Rob

Hi Rob,

There is an electronics store in Kerkyra (Coufu Town) near to Marks & Spencers called Multirama.

You could try 'Expert' or 'Kotsovolos' they are on the main road in the area known as Solari, just out of town (both shops are opposite each other).

Out of interest I was looking at the prices last week when I was there for flat screen TV's and was surprised to find that they are now compatible with the UK.

Re swapping it over for your existing TV, yes, just unplug and plug in the new one!

Bernie,

The TV is for the the ladies while the boy and I watch the football at Steve's. As much as I love my dear wife and daughter, they do make it painfully obvious when they've had enough of being in a bar and watching football (it takes about 5 minutes). But if they can go and watch Celebrity Big Idol Dancing on Ice in the Kitchen, we'll be able to watch some French third division game in peace...

Hi Rob and Gill,

Have you ever thought of a TV projector, you can connect a Sky box, DVD player up to them as well and project the picture onto a wall ..and they are a fraction of the cost that a plasma or LCD screen are.

Hi Bruce,

Stone age man would have more of a clue that I have about all things technical. Could I walk into Currys and ask for one, and how much would it cost? If I could get one in England, would it be too delicate to risk taking it over on a BA plane?

And at the risk of sounding completely stupid, does the colour of the wall matter?

Rob
