I'm afraid I don't Jeremy, I didn't need it when making the map, just an old fashioned GPS showing degrees minutes and seconds.

Had a chance to look at the GPS map in more detail this evening, and just in the North East, I counted several roads and villages missing, so they are not quite there yet. Its a big improvement on the other printed maps though, as many, but by no means all, of the mountain tracks are shown accurately.  Some villages also seem misplaced.  I can only assume that these mapmakers don't actually visit the island in person, but are working from other abstract data.  So there's no change there then.

I'd give it *** out of a possible five.

Stephan you make me feel so old. I had thought that with a map (OK, your map) I could find my way anywhere. And that my GPS showing Lat and Long was the latest gizmo in God's creation.

Actually, of course, it's just that most of these GPS makers ain't compatible with my Mac!

Do a deal so that they don't have to work from abstact data then!!

Jeremy

Ps could I be dealing with a WGS84 issue?

I don't know Jeremy, there are so many coordinate systems in use, and I'm not familiar with them.  I understand that WGS84 is the native coordinate system that all GPS receivers work on but they automatically convert it to the coordinate system selected on the device.

I had my satnav with me last year.

I have a mio 168 and TOM TOM installed I have a map that I downloaded

from the net of Eastern europe this  covers most of Europe france switzerland  italy and most other parts it also covers the mainland of Greece.

I didnt expect to get anything on Corfu as there isnt really a map for there

but it did pick up all the main areas of Corfu it mainly showed the two main roads they are just shown as the 24and 25 it does show the main villages

it also shows the lake koriston I was able to ask it for a route but it

wasnt really shure where it was as it told me to turn right when there was no right turn so it was a bit hit and miss but as I said the map didnt

actually cover Corfu so I was very suprised that It worked at all.

maybye this year they will do a map of Corfu

Don't hold your breath waiting Xantia.  If you really want to see the real road system and villages of Corfu, it seems my map remains the only way still.
