I got my equipment installed free of charge in the UK I think Curry's are still doing the promotional offer, brought it lock stock and barrel here set it up professionally, I am on top of a hill mind, and it works perefctly, BBc ITV SKY Sports the lot. as has been stated you can only recieve or record one channel only at a time, unlike in the UKwhere the terrestrial channels are available as well as the sattelite signal.

I just keep up my subscrition payment at old address and SKY are not bothered, totell you the truth I have SKY+ back home and only pay £15 per month for the extra box.

Hi

Nice picture of the coverage Bruce.

As far as I know size does matter  , the bigger the dish the more signal is received. Therefore if you are in a very good reception area on Corfu (more unlikely than likely) then you will get a decent signal with a smaller dish but it is likely that you need a bigger dish on the Island.

Never thought about shipping out a sky system from UK until I saw this thread, what a good idea.

I used to get Sky in my villa in Kalami until 2 years ago using a standard dish, but then they changed the angle of the satellite and since then nothing.

I am having Sky re-installed next year and the minimum diameter dish they are saying I will need now to get BBC and ITV in Kalami is 2.4 metres.

Last year and this I have had Nova which is really good as long as you don't want BBC or ITV! The cost is about 50 Euro a month and you can pay for it a month at a time. Good news (BBC World, Euronews, CNN etc), movies, sports and music channels plus local Greek TV which is good for weather forecasts.

Regards.

Hi Peter.

So does that mean that we will reccognise you at the airport by the fact you are the one carrying a saterlite box as hand luggage on each journey??

I suppose you could carry it in a lap-top case.

Just Jokeing.

Bob.
