I have just bought electricals and I thought I'd be crafty and go in the Feb Sales (they don't start straight after Christmas). They seemed to have lots of things in the sales but nothing like the UK. It was mostly plasma TV's and stuff which is all very nice but they don't keep the food very cold!
I bought a Seimens built-in hob, oven and an italian extractor fan from Expert (which incidently has had to go back coz it woz broken!). They were end of line so I got a good price, I guess the best thing to do is shop around as much as pos.
We have also found a stupidly cheap ex-demo fridge from Athens, so hears hoping it works!!!
Winter sales are beginning of February and I think the Summer sales are at end of August beginning of September, but I could be mistaken (I seem to remember buying a great pair of boots at a ridiculously low price in Sept once).
