I have thought of doing this for some time, so here goes.

Today (8am) the temperature is 56 degrees on my veranda. Broken clouds, some quite heavy and grey. But it does look as if the weather might improve, since the wind is light and coming from the south west, and it's clearer in that direction.

Certainly, the weather is not what we used to enjoy in April. When I first came to live here, we were sunbathing and swimming from the start of the month. But maybe that's because I had a tourist outlook (I'm in Corfu, therefore it must be summer!), whereas now it's still winter until May!

Hi Hilary

I'm sure lots of people will find this very interesting.  Perhaps you could update at midday?  It certainly does seem cool in the mornings but there is a remarkable difference once the sun gets to work - and also when it disappears in the evening!

Julia

p.s. That's assuming it doesn't remain cloudy of course!

Good Morning Hilary. Many thanks for the weather report, it brightens up ones day. There again, the weather here on the South Coast of England is glorious at this time.

An update as Julia described would be appreciated, if you have the time to do so.

Thanks again.

Sorry, I can't update at midday, as I only access the Net in the early morning.

Yesterday it stayed cloudy unfortunately. There were a few spots of rain early evening, and quite a strong breeze all day (which is probably what kept it from raining properly).

Today is much the same - temp at 56 degrees on my veranda at 7.30, lowish grey cloud, and no blue showing. The breeze is down, so it may rain later.

i find quite a good weather report at

http://uk.weather.com/weather/local/GRXX0068?x=16&y=11                                                                                                     then type in location   ie corfu

its the only site that gives a good  forecast

weve always got this on our favorites and check it two or three times a day.

hope this is useful

22 days to go

Been doing some work on the website so thought I'd come on the boards to say that the weather hasn't changed at all since three hours ago. How exciting!

Yesterday midday, not long after I wrote the above, we had a real storm, with thunder, high wind and pouring rain for about an hour. Then it went back to grey and damp, but substantially colder.

This morning it's clear with just a few distant clouds, but the temp is down to 44 degrees on the veranda.

The forecast today was for heavy rain, clearing tomorrow, but it seems to have arrived a day in advance. Fingers crossed it stays this way, since we are walking on Pantokrator tomorrow!

Thank you Hilary for taking the trouble to post the weather reports: they are very helpful.

Your description of the weather is much more informative than just looking at a weather website to gain the bare facts.

Hope the weather stays fine for tomorrow's walk. Kalo taxidi (does that apply to a walk as well as a mechanically propelled journey?)

Lynn
