Hi Becky,

'Loved your mosaic, I would be interested in one for my house in Arillas, I'll pm you later.

Incidently are they frostproof and suitable for use in the U.K?

Hi Trace...Gareth ,

What was it about May ???.......We also will be celebrating our anniversary on 14th........28 years.  [ must be something in the air in May that makes men drop their guards !!!! ] I'll probably regret that remark .

regards..John & Hilary

Re house signs:

There are certainly local regulations about putting up signs, and while they do affect villas for rent, I don't know about private houses. I could find out for you.

Are you now in Corfu or in UK?

There is at least one man in Corfu town who does beautiful painted metal house signs, and on the main Paleocastritsa road, a couple of kms past the Tzavros road junction going northwest, there is a lovely pottery. The man there makes house signs amongst other things and he is very cheap.

If you want more info on this, send me a private message and I can enlarge on it without boring everyone else!

Sorry Trace, this has been a bit of a long winded answer, so if you and Mr Trace would prefer to be alone on May 10th at Taverni Agni, that is perfectly understandable but we will be there on the 9th and probably the 11th.

Mr Trace and I alone......romantic......not a chance!!! No worries there

Basically we move accomodations from Kassiopi to Aghios Stephanos on the 9th so we'll likely eat in the village that night.

10th through to 15th we have nothing "planned" so we're open to any suggestions........having an early season CTG members meeting may be fun. There seem to be a fair few of us around in early May. Either lunchtime (we'd walk down) or evening (we'd get the water taxi) would be fine by us.

Anyone fancy it ?

Hi Trace,

Remind me to have a chat at the Greek night south, we may just overlap with luck?

Bob

PS Would'nt it be nice and fullfilling for folks to actually make their own house names, drift wood, angled cross sections of olive timber picked out with a hot iron bar then varnished, many of us have lumps of fired and glazed  clay(works of inestible value) in places of prominence as gifts from our children/grandchildren, point them at the idea, its got to be better than them watching Nicklodian has'nt it? What about beadwork formed on a base and sealed with a coating, modern or what?

Hi Trace,

That sounds like a good idea - I'm up for that too. Lunchtime or evening should be fine for me, don't think I'll have found a job by then.
