Hi folks - just a quickie to test your brains....

What sort of present might go down with a man, one you don't know very well, but is doing something important for you?  We thought a bottle of Scotch, but I don't even know if he drinks it!

But being Greek, I'm sure he does (in moderation, obviously)!

I'm bringing a large bottle of  paco rabanne pour homme to my  Corfiot host for his incredible generosity each time I visit......(Hope they don't confiscate it at the airport - otherwise  someone might get hurt!)  For his wife, I am bringing several bracelets which I make myself from Swarovsky crystal.   This is only a small token that  will let them know how much I appreciate their hospitality.....  if someone has another suggestion, in addition to this I would like to bring another gift, as well.  Thanks!  Love and light,  Carin

I have found that a lot of my greek friends and in-laws love rich fruit cake which is something that you cant find very often over here.

but I think that anything that you give would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Last year we made up a gift bag with such things as shortbread, english jams/marmalade, Gentleman's Relish, butterscotch, fudge and a bottle of whiskey, it went down a storm with our Corfiot friends!  I think anything you give small or big would be greatly appreciated, but something unique to your own country is a nice idea.
