No contest - Amstel knocks spots off Mythos - but the new Ionian brews are not bad either...

The new Royal Ionian real ale, but not in the height of summer. Oh, and don't think of taking any home on the plane as it is a 'live' beer that needs to be kept in the fridge and is likely to go bang on the plane. Not to be recommended.

Mythos but second the Ionian beer.
Our local Greek restaurant in Shields sells mythos so don't need to go far for my fix.
Much better in a ice cold glass in Corfu.

There is something about that first ice-cold Mythos in a frosted glass...

But I tried the Ionian light beers last time and they were very good. I will try the dark one next time if I can get it.

Amstel is very good in those dark cafes in Amsterdam.
