We have a gas fired heating system which was installed 2 years ago and needs servicing. Can anyone recommend a reliable qualified heating engineer?

I wonder if there are any gas assesment centres in Corfu, I'd be suprised.
Why not contact your original installer, if he was qualified to install it, he should be competant to carry out a service I would have thought.
In my working days, my main income was from the maintenance of the systems I had previously installed.

We too have gas fired central heating and live in the north of the island. (Loutses).
Without wishing to start an argument, I would suggest that you do not require a plumber to service your gas boiler. You require a gas engineer!
The only qualified gas engineers on the island are Koromios, on the Lefkimmi Road. Tel. 26610 21800. If you don't speak Greek, just hang on whilst the electronic operator goes through countless options and you will get a human on the line. They will put you through to the engineers.
I normally get next day service and recently had an engineer arrive within three hours following an emergency. (The regulator on the tank failed!)
Expect to pay about 50 euros. for the callout.
As gas engineers go, they are OK. HOWEVER if, as we once did, you have electronic problems, I think they fly by the seat of their pants!
Basically, we get them out once a year and really all they do is check the pressures and clean the jets and pilot.
Without wishing to bore the rest of the forum, I would be interested to hear what make of boiler you have installed. Perhaps you could PM me.
