Don't worry, I am sure no one thought you meant anything else!

Tackou, you are so right about only hearing bad news. I think the media should be made to spend at least 75% of their time proclaiming good news! It would generate good feeling, respect and I am sure we would all be a lot happier for it!

We had a lovely article in the local paper this week about three youngsters who were walking home from a fast food outlet and spotted 3 charity boxes that had been stolen from the restaurant the previous evening. The youngsters didn't hesitate and gathered up the broken/smashed charity boxes and coins that had been left behind and promptly returned them. These youngsters couldn't believe that someone would actually steal charity boxes.

Our local newspaper, The Edinburgh Evening News, has a "GOOD NEWS DAY" every year, when they ONLY print good news in the paper. Maybe the idea could be picked up by some others! It really does give you a lift when you read it.   Moyra

It's a shame they only publish it once a year, and not perhaps once a week/month,
But then good news doesn't sell papers.
Or most probably there isn't enough good news to fill a page let alone an entire paper.
Bob.
