I know of an excellent English speaking, Cambridge trained doctor who has recently started up in Corfu Town. His name is Alexandros Tsopelas and his surgery is no 39, Alexandras Ave,Saroko Sq. tel:26610 24096, or mobile 6945791120, e mail:tsopelasalex(at)yahoo.gr. He is a GP but is also a diabetic specialist and practices acupuncture if that is of any interest to your friends.
I know that one of the main worries for people considering moving out here is the medical side of things as it's slightly different from the UK system, so it's always a comfort to find someone that speaks your own language.

Hi, Just to let you know that I went to see the above mentioned doctor today and I would thoroughly recommend him. He is extremely thorough in his work and very explanative. I also noticed that he has the latest up to date equipment from the UK, not often found here in Corfu and his surgery is very clean and modern.
