Hi

Does anyone know if and where you can buy either oil filled radiators or convector heaters in Corfu.

We will be staying in an apartment without heating initially, and wondered if we should bring some heaters with us.  If we send them with the container, we will have to wait a few weeks for the container to arrive, so it would be better if we could buy some in Corfu.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi

I have seen heaters for sale over here and in several different types of shop, I think even  in supermarkets.  Sorry but I haven't really taken much notice of which shops though!  Hope someone else can be more useful but at least that should set your mind at rest!

I bought an oil filled radiator from the Dimitra supermarket in Acharavi last winter (or the one before??).  It was only about 45 euros and was sufficient to take the chill off a double-size bedroom when left on 24 hours constantly.

Fan heaters are PHENOMINALLY expensive to run. Someone stayed at my house for five weeks one winter whilst I was in the UK on holiday.  I nearly feinted when I got my electric bill.  It turned out that my house guest didn't bother to light the wood burner - just used a fan heater

Kind Regards

You can buy all sorts of electrical heaters in Corfu at super markets and electrical shops. Also you can buy wood burners, calorgas heaters and parafin heaters.
