We called athens ikea and they knew nothing about a store in ioannina so not sure if it is and friends who have been to ioannina say cannt see any building work that could be a ikea store

I heard some tale that they were going to build it on the same side of the road as Carrefour in Ioannina but there was a problem with the land! Thus it was going to be built on the other side of the road from Carrefour & Lydl!My hairdresser here is from Ioannina and she seems fairly sure that it will be soon! I just want to know HOW soon!! I suppose we can only wait and see!

"Thank you for contacting us and we appreciate your interest on the opening of IKEA in Ioannina. The plan for the two country side IKEA stores in Larissa and Ioannina is to open both during the first semester of 2009. The openings will have 4 to 6 months difference.
