I moved to Corfu in 1977 and as another poster mentioned it was not so easy in those days. Greek mother in laws were very tough and did not approve of Xeni daughters in law. You had to fight to be allowed any decisions in your marriage. Maybe I was just unlucky to have a controlling Ma in law.. Now my Greek EX-Mother in law thinks I am great.......
I am planning to retire to Corfu. It has changed so much since I first visited in 1973 ( Not all for the better) but I feel more at home there.
