oh my god Julia, is the photo of skriperodog the one you mentioned???  how flamin awful - i still cannot comprehend how this can happen.  actually, i can, i am seeing it first hand now..... there are 5 new pups in Kassiopi that were found at around 3 weeks old who are in desperate need of help.  They are being fostered at the moment, but homes are obviously needed.

We are in the UK at the moment, for a family funeral, but will be trying to at least help with the practicalities on our return.

ps.  can i bring any wormers or anything back with us???

Alikee xx

I often think about this little dog and I am so happy that a home has been found.  I know there are a lot of dogs in the same situation in Corfu but this one certainly pulled a few heart strings with me.

Hi Alikee,

Yes, that is the dog.  Our dog Oscar was nearly at that stage when he turned up on our doorstep.  You should see him now, such a lucky boy, so spoilt for all he went through.  I love him.  I just wish I could have taken that poor boy too, I know if we still lived there sooner or later we would have ended up with more permanent rdoggy residents (I used to foster).  The dog situation on Corfu is so heartbreaking, even though neutering the strays is the best thing we can do for them, it is so hard to put a dog back where you found it.  I take my hat off to those charity workers out there now, this time of year is awful, puppies everywhere dumped, diseased or dead on the road.

Yes please, Alikee, we would love some wormers.  We also need help to rehome a problem cat.  We would prefer to find somewhere on Corfu that has a warm place for her to shelter and where she will be fed but have room to roam in safety.  One of her problems is that she only has one eye.  She is friendly and has been neutered but isn't really suitable to be an indoor family pet.  I will be putting up a post about her soon but in the meantime, if you can think of anyone who might take her, we would be very grateful.

Thanks for your support!

Julia
