Anyone lucky enough to be in Corfu now will know that we are experiencing a wonderful period of practically summer weather known as the Halcyon Days that can fall anytime during January and February, but are always recognizable by unseasonable warmth, bright sunshine and a hint of summer.

It was actually mentioned on the Greek News last night, so it's obviously all over Greece, and it is glorious!

Temperature at the moment (15.30 local time) is 16c on the north, shady side of our house, 22c inside (no heating on), and the barometer has shot off the end of the scale.

Bliss!

Susanna

Hi Nathan,

You do know how to cheer us poor Brits up don't you.

By the way, it doesn't look much like a Christmas tree.

See you late March.

By all accounts it looks like it's going to continue as well. I'm pleased for those on Corfu. In a strange way it cheers me up!

It's foul here so I wouldn't mind a little bit of that warmth and sunshine being exported from Corfu!! Enjoy your 'Halcyon Days'!

David

Absolutely glorious today and yesterday, the sort of days you would be lucky to find in the UK in the summer - really lifts the spirits.

Sat out in a friend's garden at St Spiridon this afternoon in T shirt and jeans, enjoying and ice cold beer and being bitten by mozzies....  Ahhh!  That's Corfu for you!

Come on Bill, what else would  you expect in St, Spiridon with a little sun? The mozzies were just hiding waiting for you to arrive.

Bob.
