Upon viewing our house empty for the first time before we flew back to the UK the following day(our house had tenants in it,and we felt we were intruding on them if we started to have a good nosey poke about,so we didn't delve into anything ,although the lady tenant implied with her hand gestures to feel free to look around we felt it was an intrusion on her home at that point). We knew what was entailed with the purchase, the condition of the house and things that were staying in it.
Nearly to my point now,we were told by the owners of our accomadation in San Stef when I asked how we got rid of 'junk', that in the winter, two or three times a month if you left unwanted items of household goods on the road side, the 'council'would come along and remove them.Does anyone know if this is correct, and if this service is provided in the summer months as well.?
Also, the house has an open fireplace that we have seen working, the cooker is electric,my question is,is it cheaper to cook by calorgas or use the electic cooker left behind, and would a calorgas heater(as we already have one in our loft )be as good as an open fire,or just to use if it goes chilly? I'm sure I'll come up with more questions, but these two if answered can be taken off my hit list.
