Yes as far as i know the xmas flight has been arranged at such times because it is only going to gatwick and it gives people, who need to get connections to other places, manchester , for example, ample time to get there. Also, the flight out to corfu is about 8 in the evening i think, which again gives people all day to get to gatwick if need be.

Lets hope people use it, as it's been arranged by the locals, and it's something we need for the future.

Re the Ryan Air flights from venice, Bari, Brindisi and Ancona to the UK, Iwas just checking them out too and they are having a sale, the return flights are as little as 20 euros return, fantastic if only there was a good ferry connection!

If you go on the ferries this time of year, to get flight connections fromVenice, Bari and so on..the likelihood is that you'll also have to get to Igoumenitsa on the mainland first, or via there on the way back to corfu, so i still maintain it's simpler to jump on the direct flights from corfu.  Unless of course you have the time to do a trek round Europe and that's what you want to do.
