Thanks for the replies . Long time no speak Trace , how are you both? When are you out here ?
My old man bought me an electric cement mixer when he visited in June , he thought it was more practical than a pot for plants . Considering the amount of landscaping/wallbuilding to be done , a good choice .
Hi Lizzie , Jeremy , Becks , Ray , Oaf , Martin and all .
Where's Angie R ? methinks she may owe me a case of Mythos , you can always "edit" photos....lol
Gone a bit cloudy today [ at least 2 in sight....lol ] so I am doing a 5 to 1 mix and getting on with the wall until it gets to hot to work .

We're both great thanks John......David is in the middle of a huge editorial project at work this summer, so we're being very cautious about booking up until we know that everything is definitely going to be done and dusted (you know how projects can run behind schedule grrrr).
If it's looking like the project won't be completed before the end of the holiday season (crikey, I hope it doesn't run that late), then I'll probably just pop out myself......even if it's only for a week!!
Hope to make up for lack of Corfu next year......getting withdrawal symtoms!! (Didn't get our usual trip in May due to going back to where we honeymooned for our fifth anniversary!).
Take care and see you both soon, I hope.....

You missed the intimation , Uzbekistan is where we feel we are , due to OTE and Co.....lol ..Glad Rachael enjoyed herself , we enjoyed her company.........look forward to meeting you both again.
Hi Trace ,
Nice to "speak" to you again . glad you are both OK , good to see David is busy , you can't sacrifice a Corfu holiday for work though , life is too short ....lol . Please get in touch when you are here , a drinkie awaits.
Hi Angela ,
Yes , the BBQ seems a long way ago , which means we need to do it again ASAP , you did say when you were next here but we have forgotten , please let us know so we can arrange something [ PS , I wish , in hindsight that I had let you pull me into the pool.....lol ]
XXXXXX's to all ......J&H

Hiya,
We hope to be back end of July, all being well, we both have very bad colds at the mo, think it is all this wet weather, it's like March not July and more on the way it seems, our pond is just about over the bridge and our flowerbeds have become small ponds, have to keep pulling up newly planted roses as they are swimming, our Olive Tree is in a little pond too, hope it survives. An underground spring has popped up in our drive and we have had to move our fencing and hedging, waiting for it to subside a bit and we have to get a digger in to prepare for a land drain, so it's all go here. Never ever had this much rain even in the winter. So whilst you are working hard in the sun, likewise here but in the rain.
Will let you know of our exact return date, Perikles seems to have his men up at ours quite a lot, have you bumped into Tony and Margaret?, they are staying in Kerasia I believe.
Michael pm'd you yesterday by the way.
Loads of XXXXX's to you both,
Angela

I have changed our avatar to show my 'ongoing' project . This is the first of many walls I have to build [ 130 metres in all ] .This wall is to enclose what will be our veggiie patch and is about 30 metres long .
I have to make it 'pretty' as it is so close to our eating / everyday area . The big stone you see on the floor in the foreground is from our initial landworks and is as close to the shape of Corfu as you can get !!! I have set it in cement and will eventually pave around it with recovered smooth stone , I will leave it in 'relief' about 3 cms high above the paving and have set it north to south with a compass.............sad bu***r aren't I ??
Today I worked from 8 till 1 o clock , we then went to Thomas's in Kalami for 'Sunday lunch' finishing around 5 .....went snorkelling/spearfishing [ caught nowt ] untill around 7....leaving Kalami the temperature in the shade was 34 degrees C !!!!!..........I worked for another 2 hours moving stones into place and now I am Hitting the red bottle..lol
Jeremy , for info , we had 120 degrees + today on our solar loop......we only need 70 for a full tank , would you like to 'pipe' some to yours ??
Once again , anyone that is coming out this summer that knows us , give us a call to fix a drinkie ...............6942-831103....or 26630-81294 .
Kind Regards.J&H

J &H, lovely meeting you, house is stunning and your solar power UK style is impressive. The water pressure your getting would probably give you hydro electric power too..We're back in UK today after 7 weeks away and missing it already everything's so laid back in Corfu so we're coming back in February to Karousades for a month.

A-ha Steve - you met up with J&H as well as me and the old man!
I agree about missing Corfu, I hadn't been home 12 hours before I'd booked for our next visit...
J&H that wall looks fab; love the 'Corfu Stone'! Are you shaping the stones yourself, if so you'll have to give the old hippy a lesson when we see you in October as we've got plenty of stone to do something with!
